Section 66.61
Any person who violates this article is responsible for a civil infraction, and any person found to have committed a civil infraction may be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $100.00 and costs in accordance with section 907 of the Michigan Vehicle Code. For purposes of this section, civil infraction means an act or omission prohibited by law which is not a crime as defined in Public Act No. 328 of 1931, § 5 (MCL 750.5, MSA 28.195), as amended, and for which civil sanctions may be ordered.
